Description:
For a place in Alameda that calls burritos "wraps", it was quite good. Plenty of guac/crema/salsa/juicy ingredients. The distribution of everything was great, but the individual ingredients just weren't amazing. The asada was not charred at all and was lacking in flavor. The rice was pretty bland as well. Not a huge fan of the corn in it either. But, the burrito was very large and satisfying overall. Also came with chips and salsa, so a pretty good deal.

Other Notes:

Burrito has corn, comes with chips.

Description:
Semi large size. Burrito was mainly just rice beans and meat, with a little bit of crema and some sporadic onions and cilantro. Given the lack of ingredients, it still had very nice flavor. I think the meat had a lot of juice and oil that got in with it which was very good, and quite limey. Overall surprisingly good considering it was so much rice.

  • Crema: 4
  • Salsa: No

Description:
Burrito was on the smaller side. It was heavily rice with almost no beans or other ingredients besides the meat. Some bites of the asada were very good, others were just ok. The big redeeming factor was that a few bites with more crema had great flavor. Even though it was basically a rice and meat burrito, it was still decent.

  • Guacamole: Yes - 4
  • Crema: 4
  • Salsa: Yes - 8
  • Tortilla: 6

Description:
Pretty large burrito with overall decent flavor. Highlights of it were the beans which were very good and salsa. While the flavor was nice, it was far too salty. The asada had the flavor, but was lacking on char and was a bit more like shredded beef. The guac was watery as was the crema and there was not enough of them. The pico was very nice and the rice was just fine. Given the pitfalls, I was pleasantly surprised on first bite. There was also a good amount of shredded cheese inside.

Other Notes:

Salsa bar.

  • Crema: 5
  • Salsa: Yes - 7
  • Tortilla: 7

Description:
Pretty big wet burrito, so it was weird eating with a fork and knife. There was a lot of meat in it and it had a good char flavor. But it was a bit dry and not super flavorful beyond the char. The rice was very good (achiote). Beans were good for pinto beans. Guac, salsa and crema were on top along with the red sauce. They were all fine but nothing spectacular. Overall the ingredients weren't amazing, but it was nice and juicy and had the right amount of each one.

Other Notes:

Nicer sit down restaurant.

  • Tortilla: 3

Description:
Definitely a gringo style restaurant in the Haight. It had nopales though. Burrito was normal sized. Pastor was pretty good, I also tried the carne asada (just a piece) and it was a little better. The burrito was too heavy on rice and beans. The beans were good, but the rice was lacking flavor. The guac was almost nonexistent and the crema was terrible. It dripped out of a hole in the side and tasted like nothing. The burrito also broke by the end and was not wrapped well. I don't even remember there being salsa in it. Overall the burrito was decent and besides the crema nothing in it was bad at all. But it lacked any real wow factor and there wasn't enough meat to really taste it.

Other Notes:

3 types of salsa.

  • Guacamole: Avocado - 7
  • Crema: 7
  • Salsa: Yes - 8
  • Tortilla: 7
  • Cheese: 6
  • Size: 6
  • Taste: 7.25
Description:
Burrito had grilled tortilla. Medium size. First half of the burrito was very good. It had lots of crema and a good amount of avo. Salsa was a fresh chunky pico. Carne asada was plentiful and large pieces with great flavor and medium char. Rice was pretty good. I didn't ask for refried beans, but they just put pinto in and they weren't great. The bottom half of the burrito was heavily rice and beans so it was not as good. Overall pretty good. Salsas weren't great, but they had them which was nice (spicy avo salsa was pretty good), and they gave free chips.

Other Notes:

Comes with chips and salsa bar.
